Children take control in Lord of the Flies

Lord of the Flies was written by William Golding about a group of boys that were on a plane that crashed, leaving them stranded on the uninhabited island with nobody but themselves as company. No adults. No Rules.

That is until the main character Ralph finds a conch and blows into it and it calls everyone together. The kids have a vote on who should lead, and Ralph is elected chief, but Jack, who was also running for chief, does not like that, so he does his own bloodthirsty thing and does not listen to the rules.

Will the boys escape and go back into civilization or will they all be lost to the savagery the island will bring out in each of them?
