Cedar Falls added another tally to the win column last Friday night after an impressive win over Muscatine.

The Tiger offense was hot early as they jumped to a 28-0 lead after the first quarter. The defense continued that domination through the 2nd quarter and propelled the No. 6 ranked Tigers to a 35-0 lead headed into halftime.

Quarterback Hunter Jacobson finished 9/13 with 113 yards and a 47-yard touchdown pass to Aiden Sorensen. Jacob Kieler added three touchdowns for Cedar Falls along with one from Carter Ernst.

Jacob Michael broke an 89-yard run for a touchdown late in the 4th quarter to close out the night for Cedar Falls in a 42-7 victory over the Muskies.

Cedar Falls is set to take on No. 2 Cedar Rapids Kennedy (5-0) this Friday night. The Tigers (4-1) are riding a four game win streak and are currently looking like one of the best teams in the state.

Their defense, led by Ryley Barnett and Jordan Hoeppner, is allowing just 16.8 points per game. Sophomore Drew Campbell is currently second in the state with five sacks this season. Kennedy running back Jazan Williams is averaging 105 yards per game and will be the Tigers toughest challenge so far this season. Offensively, Cedar Falls is averaging 33.6 points per game whereas Kennedy is allowing an average of just 11 points per game.

Two Cedar Falls receivers have already surpassed 200 yards this season. UNI basketball commit Trey Campbell leads the team with 298 and Upper Iowa football commit Caeden Janssen follows him with 209.

These two powerhouse teams are set to collide at 7:15 this Friday night at Kingston Stadium in Cedar Rapids with playoff implications.
