For fans of fudgy treats, Felix has perfect brownie recipe

On April 19, 2019, Stray Kids won their first music program for their song “Miroh” at Show Champion, a South Korean Music television program.

Stray Kids is an eight-member group, with stage names Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin (birth name: Hwang Hyun-jin, danceRacha), HAN, Seungmin, and I.N. They would end up winning 118 total awards over the course of their career, with their most famous song being “God’s Menu” from their first studio album, GO LIVE. GO LIVE was released on June 17, 2020, and it was their breakthrough song. The hip-hop, EDM-styled track currently has over half a billion streams on Spotify, and on Nov. 20, 2020, Stray Kids posted on their YouTube account “[SKZ VLOG] Felix : Sunshine Vlog 2” where he walked around Korea, and made his viral brownie recipe.

Felix is well-known within the fandom for enjoying baking. As Felix said, “With the final broadcast coming up, I made cookies to give as a present for the senior and junior artists. I wanted to give back in return for all the love I received, so I’ve put in my support and cheer in hopes that everyone does well on stage,”  and while he didn’t reveal the recipe in that video, it was only on August 25, 2025, that he sent the recipe to a food review YouTuber, Haejoo.

Here is the recipe:

227g /  8oz Chocolate bars

24g  / ¼ cup Dutch cocoa powder

3g / 1 tbsp espresso powder

283g / 1 ¼ cup hot melted unsalted butter

400g / 2 cups granulated sugar

110g / ½ cup dark brown sugar

2 tsp of vanilla extract

1 tsp of salt

323g / 6 eggs

120g / 1 cup of all purpose flour

48g / ½ cup of Dutch cocoa powder

Directions:

  1. Cover the surface of the tray with butter, then cover the baking tray with baking paper and spread butter again.
  2. Cut the chocolate bars into small pieces and put them in a large bowl
  3. Add ¼ cup Dutch cocoa powder, 1 tbsp espresso powder, hot melted butter, wait for 2 minutes and mix
  4. In a new bowl, add the granulated sugar, dark brown sugar, 2 tsp of vanilla extract, salt, and 6 eggs, and mix until liquified
  5. After that, sift 1 cup all-purpose flour, ½ cup cocoa powder, then fold in with a spatula, then pour into a baking pan
  6. Bake at 180 degrees for 20 minutes

This recipe makes sure to yield fudgy brownies, which seems to be a popular option in the Cedar Falls district. When asked, many students and teachers said they preferred fudgy brownies. Instructional coach Jenae Green said, “Yeah, fudgy. My mom always used to make these fudgy brownies, and the topping was just powdered sugar,” and sophomore Kejuan Smith said, “I like brownies, especially fudgy brownies,” so for those who enjoy a good fudgy brownie, this recipe might be a good one to try.
