Alternatives Pregnancy Center looking for volunteers

Alternatives Pregnancy Center, which provides alternative to abortion, is looking for volunteers. This agency provides support, giving clothes, diapers and other things to new parents. 

Executive Director Megan Yturriaga said that the goal of Alternatives is to “give mothers an alternative solution and to be a good support system and help as many people as possible.” 

Volunteers help in a number ways, including Stocking the store, organizing, sorting the diapers, Cleaning, and whatever else is needed in the building

They also stay open year round no matter the circumstances, so they need volunteers for all times. Yturriaga said that “if you are looking to volunteer, just find a few hours a week or an hour a day and find a place to help. The biggest thing is to just get out there and help.” 

Yturriaga said, “Our goal for each volunteer is to have them feel like they made an impact on the community and that they were able to help people and feel accomplished.”
