Wallace and Gromit continue to inspire, contribute to community

Wallace and Gromit is a British stop motion comedy franchise created by Nick Park. The series is short films and one feature length film, but has numerous spin-offs and TV adaptations involving a man and his dog.

Gromit is a Beagle and is made of modeling clay. He is Wallace’s pet dog and best friend. He graduated from “Dogwarts University” of Engineering for dogs. He likes knitting, playing chess, reading the newspaper, tea and cooking. He is very handy with electronics, equipment and an excellent aeroplane pilot. His favorite possessions are his alarm clock, dog bone, brush and a framed photo of himself with Wallace. Gromit is mainly silent and communicates through facial expressions and body language. 

Wallace wears a white shirt, brown wool trousers and a green knitted vest and a red tie. He is fond of cheese and crackers. He is an inventor, creating elaborate contraptions that often don’t work as intended. 

Wallace and Gromit live at 62 West Wallaby Street.

The Wallace and Gromit characters organize the fundraising for two children’s charities. Wallace and Gromit’s Children’s Foundation, which supports children’s hospices in hospitals in the United Kingdom and the charity for Bristol Children’s Hospital in Bristol, England.
