Local businesses offer COVID safe pickup options

During a quarantine, dining at your favorite restaurants is getting more dangerous every day, but some have made changes to keep business during this pandemic. Check out these COVID-friendly restaurants.

In need of some sweet treats? Hurts Donut and Insomnia Cookies are great places and are sure to cure your sweet tooth. With curbside pick-up and contactless deliveries, you can get your donuts while still in the safety of your own home.

Thinking about having a pizza party with your family? Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Your Pie and Dominos all have contactless delivery options for families around the area.

Wanting something fun to drink? Pearl Tea is one of the only stores with bubble tea around the area. They have a contactless way for you to get your drink without being near any person. While you still have to go to the store to get your drink, you are stopped at the door by a table that holds all of the orders. You just have to go up to the door and grab your tea off the table.

Do you ever just get a craving for some Texas Roadhouse rolls? Don’t worry. They have curbside! You can get your Roadhouse just by calling and placing an order. There is a pick up window outside the store so you do not have to go into the restaurant.

And don’t forget drive-thru, but be sure to remember to wear a mask, even if you are in your car. You can also keep a bottle of hand sanitizer in your car to use after getting things handed to you. Some fast food restaurants, like Burger King, hand your food to you in a bucket so no one has to touch hands.

There are also apps you can use for delivery such as GrubHub, UberEats and EatStreets. These apps allow delivery people pick up the food for you and then bring it to you, safely in your home.
