525 Lift off
525 Swartdogs Robotics team hosted annual scrimmage on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Holmes Junior High. This scrimmage has happened since 2010, with only two teams competing the first time. Now, 11 teams, six local, competed. Below, 525 team member junior Ivan Schwestka worked to build the “space shuttle” field that the robots will scrimmage in.
Senior Megan Pezely and team co-captain knew that many teams would not be as prepared as last year’s scrimmage. “A lot of teams did not have enough time to complete their robot because of all of the snow days. They could not get into their school to work on them,” Pezely said.
