Don’t Look to Russia: Poor choice of candidate to blame for Dems’ loss

Since the President-elect Trump victory in November, Democrats have blamed their loss on everything from the electoral college system to Russian hacking and interference in our election.

Though the intelligence community is currently at odds over whether this is true or not, the CIA believes it to be true. The Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, however, told Congress in an open hearing in mid-November: “As far as the Wikileaks connection, the evidence there is not as strong, and we don’t have good insight into the sequencing of the releases or when the data may have been provided.” This is in reference to the thousands of hacked emails of high-ranking Clinton campaign officials, such as John Podesta, the former chairman of the Clinton campaign. So until there is a 100 percent accurate report from government intelligence agencies, blaming the loss on the Russians is completely absurd.

The emails that Wikileaks let out to the public shined light on the corruption that is the Clintons. From pay-to-play schemes to in-house fights among Clinton campaign officials about her use of a private email server. The shocking thing about this election is, whether Wikileaks is connected to the Russians or not, they did more for candidate accountability than any of the media.

Throughout almost the entire election cycle, the media trashed Trump every chance it got, whether it was by making up scandals or spreading Clinton propaganda every chance they got. Honestly, if the Russians were behind this, I don’t really mind, since the media doesn’t want to do its job and enforce government accountability, then someone else will.

Just a few days ago, President Obama called for a “full review” of Russian hacking and meddling in elections. Let’s not forget about the Obama administration’s meddling in the Prime Minister of Israel’s election. The State Department sent $350,000 in taxpayer money to a group attempting to oust Benjamin Netanyahu in the parliamentary elections last year. President Obama’s staff was caught up in a scandal a little over two years ago for calling Netanyahu, a “chickensh*t.”

The Obama administration has a strong distaste for the former Israeli Special Operations Commando because of his support of defending his country from Islamic terrorists and the criticism of Obama’s “landmark” nuclear deal with the terrorist regime in Iran, so when the current President calls for an investigation into Russian meddling in the election, maybe he should remember the meddling he’s done in foreign elections.

Whether the Russians were involved in the Wikileaks Clinton emails or not, they did more for political accountability than any of the media did. The Democrats need someone to blame, but yet the fact that they nominated a corrupt politician under FBI investigation somehow is not related to their loss. Wikileaks let the American people see how corrupt Clinton is, and they made their choice by electing Trump on Nov. 8. When President Obama calls for reviews of Russian election meddling, we can’t forget the meddling he’s done to political adversaries. My advice for Democrats going into the 2020 presidential election, don’t nominate a criminal.
