“The best lesson I learned was even when things seem tough, you have to power through. Life will always get better. It may seem like it’s the ‘end of the world,’ but it ain’t! I have had a negative attitude during struggles in my life, but learned if I keep my head high, it helps soften the blow. I can look back at my past situations and reflect on how much I grew as a person. In order to grow, you must understand what it means to struggle. I am currently going through a difficult time in my life, but at the end of the day I am still happy and know the best is yet to know. It will all be OK in the end. If it’s not OK, it’s not the end.”

“The best thing I have ever learned is how important work ethic can be. It teaches you to work hard, discipline, responsibility and appreciation. Work ethic is something you can carry with you wherever you go in life, roaming from jobs to daily life. I am proud to say I have strong work ethic, it has taught me so much and has made a better person.”

“A long time ago I learned that tomorrow is a new day … and every day is a gift. It’s so easy to get caught up in the moment, bogged down by the stresses of everyday life. It’s easy to lose hope and faith and love, but it helps to remind ourselves that tomorrow is a new day, a fresh start, another chance for, well, anything really. Hard days are a reality for every one of us. Sometimes strings of hard days turn into weeks and then into months, but at night as you lie in your bed there is a peace in knowing tomorrow is a new day, with so much potential, new opportunities, second chances and unforeseen blessings. ”

“Don’t allow pain from your past, or present for that matter, to linger and cause you suffering, but don’t suppress it either.  Find a way to process and heal. I still sometimes deal with pain from my past, and it is so hard to overcome that pain. Surround yourself with those who care for you.  Something I say to myself all the time is, never take anyone for granted because within a blink of an eye, they can be gone.  Remember those scars make who you are, but don’t let them stop you from living your life to the fullest.”
