May Day arrives on Friday
May Day is a traditional spring holiday that involves giving a small basket to a friend. Historically, people celebrated by sharing with their neighbors. They would create a small paper basket filled with colorful flowers and sweets.
To deliver the basket, an individual would hang it on a neighbor’s doorknob and then briefly leave.
This custom is a charming way to show kindness and appreciation.
