In every high school, students have classes they love and classes they can’t stand. Everyone has different opinions, and the reasons can be interesting. Let’s take a closer look at what high schoolers say are their favorite and least favorite classes and why for the 2024-25 school year.
George Robe – Senior
“I really enjoyed engineering this year because it’s a creative class that has many lessons I enjoy. My least favorite was modern literature because I have a hard time picking up books to read and to me the class was confusing.”
Tristan Seiberling – Junior
“I’ve been welding for a couple years now. My favorite project was when in welding I created a lock box tank out of wood. I hate solving chemistry formulas though.”
Lydia Rusley-Hanesford – Junior
“I really loved the prompts we did in AP literature, and I really liked the time of day I had it, which was fourth period after lunch. This year I actually took AP chemistry and AP biology, but I got more homework in biology, and the tests were always longer.”
Abigail Mott – Junior
“Anatomy and physiology is so confusing and boring that I’ve been behind all year. Composition & perception was an OK class. We wrote like sx papers, and most were fun to creatively write.”
Elizabeth Bunckofske – Sophomore
“I want to work with interior design in the future because I believe it’s fun, unique and, of course, creative. I didn’t like global issues much. The topics weren’t as interesting.”
Hannah Funk – Junior
“If it counts, trumpet in band, or I also really like math as well, which all checks out because after college I want to be a music teacher or a math teacher like my mom. I’m also really excited to finally take music theory my senior year too. My least favorite class is chemistry.
Ashley Davis – Sophomore
“It’s a lot of terms to memorize, but I really liked psychology. I’m definitely not a math person though.”
Rachel Kelley – Junior
“Spanish to me is different than other classes. It is more fun too because we mainly just do practices on Blooket and is a break from all the other classes with note taking and such. Math is confusing to me.”
