2021 has been a great year for people to pick up some new books and try out different genres or authors, so what are some good books from 2021 that you should try out? Peet media specialist Leah Cahill has a list of the top 25 most popular books checked out in the library.

Third to last on this list is Hey, Kiddo by Jarrett Krosoczka. The emotional tale of a kid with a broken family. Drug addicts, absent parents and family members who just don’t care. This storyline will be sure to tug at your heartstrings as the main character navigates through these struggles.
Second to last on the list is Ground Zero by Alan Gratz. It’s been 20 years since 9/11, and Gratz wanted to give us a heartstopping story of the tragedy that occured on 9/11. It’s no wonder it’s so popular among students this year.
No. 1 on the Peet library list is One Of Us Is Lying by Karen McManus. One Of Us Is Lying instantly became a hit at Peet. The characters, plot twists and mystery captivated the readers right off the bat. It’s a guarantee that you’ll enjoy this murder mystery.
