Nutrition classes launch their own food trucks

In a unit for Rona Messmore’s Food Nutrition II classes, students not only created dishes for their hypothetical food truck businesses, they designed miniature models of their mobile enterprises too. Food truck ideas included cupcakes, cookies, ice cream sandwiches, tacos, barbeque and stir fry.

At top, Skylar Boerhave serves ice cream sandwiches from her “truck,” The Cookie Jar, on Dec. 12, the day the Food Nutrition II shared their creations.
