Athlete of the Week – Ashley Schildroth – Volleyball
How long have you playing volleyball?
“I started playing club in the sixth grade, and I have played ever since, so a long time.”
What has been your biggest accomplishment from this season so far?
“As a team, definitely making it to State and hopefully winning State.”
What are your personal goals?
“I want to do my part in making sure to win State and play hard.”
Have you ever had an injury in your sport?
“I have not had any injuries ever in volleyball.”
Favorite memory from this or previous season?
“To be initiated into the varsity team, Emerson Green and I had to Saran-Wrap our coach’s car. Everyone who gets onto varsity has to do something funny like that.”
Are you planning on participating in volleyball after this year?
“Next year I am going to Iowa State for academics, but I am going to still coach my sister’s volleyball team and keep the sport in my life.
