An age old question is will bullying ever stop. Seven Cedar Falls individuals ranging from grade school to adults have said that, no, bullying won’t stop for lots of reasons. It is just human nature to make it too easy to make fun of others.
Freshmen Alivia DeGroote and her friend Sofielynn Seery said bullying will never stop. “Everybody wishes it will but it won’t,” Seery said.
Holmes freshman Sam Mullans also said bullying will always persist because “it is how people are.”
Norah, my nine- year-old niece who goes to school at north cedar, said “No, bullying will not stop because bullying is all around us even on TV shows like American Idol or America’s Top Talent; they always judge the people who come on the stage, so bullying is even on the most popular TV shows.”
Adults also expressed doubt that bullying will ever disappear. English teacher Jessica Hartz said bullying will not stop, and my brother Mikal Pepperling found the same. He said, “Bullying won’t stop because bullying is in human nature.”
Even my mother Jane said, “Bullying won’t stop because it is too easy for people to make fun of someone else then to take introspection at themselves,” so adults also say that bullying won’t stop from their further knowledge, and they know more, so when they say it, they have the experience of why this works that way.
So no matter who one would ask, almost everyone will say bullying will never stop, and it is not because they don’t want it to stop; it is just because they are being honest about it and naturally bullying will never stop.
